A stunning piece of writing, re-telling the tales of the great epic The Táin from the point of view of the women. Beautifully illustrated and bound – and designed to lie flat on the table. Reminiscent of the work of Annie Proulx and William Carlos Williams (In the American Grain). By turns earthy, tender and melancholic, and shot through with dark humour. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoyed, for instance, Pat Barker’s The Women of Troy.
